In the 1970s/80s, her busy working day would involve advising bank clients on their accounts, investments and overdrafts, managing her staff and the day-to-day smooth running of her branch, as well as liaising with Head Office.
Away from work, her interests were many, varied and almost entirely compatible with her position in society.
